Charities We Have Partnered With
One Drop
The Triton Million for Charity event tournament in London raised an incredible £2,700,000, and 15% of that was donated to the One Drop Foundation. Created in 2007 by famed Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte’, One Drop aims to ensure sustainable access to safe water and sanitation in the world’s most vulnerable communities through innovative partnerships, creativity and the power of art.
Caritas Macau
Macau was where Triton all began, and one of the brand’s core missions is to give back to the local Macau communities. Established all the way back in the early 1950s, Caritas Macau has been a consistent beneficiary of Triton Poker’s success. And through 70 years, Fr. Luis Ruiz Suarez’s organization grew to all types of demands, including periods proving food and support to the poor and homeless elderly, addressing problems with child labour, and general social work.
Raising for Effective Giving (REG)
Raising for Effective Giving was one of the biggest benefactors from the Triton Million for Charity in London. Founded by prominent poker pros such as Liv Boeree, Igor Kurganov, Phil Gruissem and Stefan Huber, REG seeks to apply the kind of logic and reason that has made its founders top poker players to the world of philanthropy. It specifically seeks charitable endeavours that are proven to be the most effective – sometimes looking in stark and emotionless detail at things like the number of lives that can be saved per dollar of donation.
Malaysian Red Crescent
The Malaysian Red Crescent Society has a very simple mission statement: “To prevent and reduce suffering, wherever it may be.” As the official Malaysian affiliate of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the organisation has more than 20,000 volunteers across 16 states, and provides everything from ambulance services, disaster management relief and first aid training. With Malaysia being the birthplace of Triton co-founders Richard Yong and Paul Phua, the charity is dear to the brands’ heart and is a consistent beneficiary.
Sarawak Children's Cancer Society
Another charity from Malaysia, the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) invites Malaysians to join the signature fundraising initiative of the Borneo-based charity, established in 1999, aimed at raising awareness of childhood cancer in the country. The charity is working 365 days a year to make sure that children living with cancer have the best care and the most enjoyable life they can.
Credit One World Charity Foundation
Caring For Children Foundation also aims to improve the lives of young people in particularly unfortunate circumstances. In addition to an educational program, its rehabilitation program focuses on children with disabilities; its foster care program helps to offer crucial support for orphans; and its disaster relief program helps people affected by natural catastrophe to rebuild their homes.
Healthy Hong Kong
Healthy Hong Kong was founded in January 2015 and provides free Chinese medicine treatment and other services through its charity scheme “Kun Yan Chinese Medicine Service Centre”. The charity has helped more than 45,000 people, including people living in poverty or elderly members of the community who do not have families helping to support them. Triton Poker are extremely proud to be part of improving the lives of the underprivileged in Hong Kong.
Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis (OMS)
Based in London, OMS aims to inform, educate and empower the estimated 2.5 million people in the world who live with M.S. The disease, which affects the body’s central nervous system, can cause life-changing symptoms like extreme fatigue, numbness, tingling, tremors, slurred speech and loss of balance and muscle coordination, loss of vision and, in the worst case, paralysis. Without any cure as of yet, Triton Poker hopes that the donations made can help people with the disease not spend the rest of their lives as hostage to their condition.
